Windows Longhorn officially named...

Bink.nu is reporting that Windows Longhorn will be named ..drumroll please...you guessed it.. Windows Server 2008 http://bink.nu/Article10091.bink
Hopefully it will be released well before that. ; )

Microsoft Releases WSUS 3.0 earlier than expected

Microsoft has been busy releasing beta's and new products and this past Monday April 30th they released Windows Software Update Services Version 3.0 to the public.
"Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) 3.0 delivers new features including an MMC-based user interface with advanced filtering and reporting, improved performance and operational reliability, flexible deployment options to improve branch office support, and more content access through the Microsoft Update Catalog site."

Remote Desktop Client V6.0 Update (beta) is now Available

Microsoft last week released an Updated (beta) version of the RDP 6 client that takes advantage of some of the new features in Longhorn and Windows vista.
Some of the new features include TS Gateway, Remote Programs, and it now supports 32 bit color and font smoothing.

System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2007 Beta 2 Now available

This is a cool beta to get in on and check out. SCVMM lets you do fast P2V conversions as well as convert VMware VMs to Microsoft VHD's. There is even a full VHD VM of W2K3 with it fully installed that you can download and have it up and going in no time.
